Jamaica 1987
From 3rd January 1958 Jamaica was part of The British Caribbean Federation, but from 6th August 1962 it has been an independent state within the British Commonwealth. The head of state is the British Monarch, represented by a governor-general.
Please note that in spite of their different design all the below stamps belong to the same set. All stamps are lithographed reproductions of original engravings by Slania.

The values 1c - 90c, that include both the Manley-set and the Bustamante-set, were all designed by Slania, and litho printed by Enschedé. Since they are not engraved (recess-printed) stamps, it is a matter of taste whether they should be listed as Slania's works. Given the fact that Slania has signed the 55 c stamp in the selvedge, I have chosen to do so.

Here is a schematic overview of the Jamaica-stamps with all re-issues (spread sheet in Excel-format) of the Jamaica-stamps for your free download, worked out by Gerry Fisk (UK), and based on Gibbons catalogue.
Many thanks to Michael R. Curl (UK), Gerry Fisk (UK), and Mr. Chong Meng (Singapore) for all help and research.
